The Mock Criminal Investigation Process aims to provide delegates with an understanding of the Qatari law and market practices relating to workplace injuries and fatalities.

The session will include an overview of the key legislation relating to liability for workplace injuries and fatalities as well as an interactive role play of the critical steps following a workplace injury or fatality, including initial attendance at the workplace by the police and the investigation by the public prosecutor.

The session will be based around real-life examples of cases handled by Clyde & Co's workplace health and safety specialists and will draw upon some of the issues they have encountered in such cases, like the lack of awareness of site accident procedures and reporting obligations.

Clyde & Co will share practical tips on how to best manage each step of the process in order to minimise fatal exposure to the company and its employees. By the end of the session, delegates should have a clearer understanding of how to respond and what to expect in the event of a workplace injury or fatality.
